Adamu Garba says feminism is a waste of time, Nigerian women should all be married.
- Nigerian politician and businessman, Adamu Garba, has been very vocal about his disagreement with feminism - In new tweets on social media, Garba said feminism is a waste of time and is a form of extremism - The politician added that all Nigerian women should be married and that feminists they look up to like Chimamanda Adichie and Beyonce, are all married Feminism is an issue that has taken centre stage in world discourse as more and more people become feminists and fight for equality of both genders in a partial society. Nigerian politician and businessman, Adamu Garba, has taken it upon himself to comment on feminism in recent times even though his views have been termed controversial by many. In new tweets shared on his Twitter page, Garba said that feminism is a waste of time and also a form of extremism. He also prayed to God against what he called the menace of extremism and feminism.
Garba said that Nigerian women should all get married and that many of the feminists they look up to such as Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Beyonce, are successfully married to men and are deceiving their followers. He wrote: “Feminism is a waste of time. Once a woman, you are already feminine by nature. Why do you need additional ism? “Any ism is extreme, extreme femininity is extremism. God forbid Nigerian woman from the menace of extremism called feminism. “Nigerianize women should all be married. “Women should all be WIVES, a jewel crown. Their proper position should be protected against the troubles of @ChimamandaReal , @Beyonce etc, who are successfully married to men, yet deceiving our gullible women on daily basis. Women should marry with pride & support their husband.” See his tweets below: He wrote: "I don't know why my stand on polygamy became a source of concern, particularly to unmarried ones. You are missing a golden opportunity from my admonition....ladies. Let me tell you, having a title of a WIFE is more important to you that even becoming a female CBN governor."
