                Boko Haram kidnaps Adamawa CAN chairman 

- Adamawa district head, Ngida Kwache, says CAN chairman for the state, Reverend Lawan Andimi, has been abducted by Boko Haram insurgents - Kwache says Andimi has been in captivity for almost three days because he was kidnapped in Boko Haram's Thursday, January 2 attempt to take over Michika - Nigerian troops had repelled the attack by the insurgents but the stampede caused by the incident left some people missing, including Andimi The chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Adamawa chapter, Reverend Lawan Andimi, has reportedly been kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents. Daily Trust reports that the cleric was kidnapped during the recent attack by the insurgents on Michika in the northeast state. According to the national daily newspaper, Reverend Andimi's abduction was confirmed by traditional rulers in the area to the deputy governor of the state, Crowther Seth.
