Kobe Byrant and Gianna: Nigerian celebrities mourn father and daughter's death

- Nigerian celebrities have taken to social media to mourn the death of retired American basketball player Kobe Bryant - The basketball player and his child, Gianna, died on Sunday, January 26 - It was reported that the father and daughter died in a helicopter crash,
It was earlier reported that retired National Basketball Association (NBA) player, Kobe Bryant, has passed away in a helicopter crash that happened on Sunday, January 26, just before the Grammys. The retired basketball and his daughter, Gianna, passed away in the crash. The helicopter crashed near Calabasas in Los Angeles, California. It was reported that nine people died in the fatal crash, including the pilot. Bryant was heading to a youth basketball game at the Mamba Sports Academy with his 13-year-old daughter. The NBA star, who was an advocate for young athletes opened the academy as a training center for young athletes a year ago. 
Nigerian celebrities have taken to their social media platforms to mourn the legendary basketball player. Celebrities like Falz, Toke Makinwa, Davido, Peter Okoye, Basketmouth, Mercy Aigbe, Mike Ezuruonye, and others took their Instagram page to pay their respect to the deceased father and daughter.

RIP, no words!” The 41-year-old up until his death, was the winner of 5 NBA championships and 18 All-Star titles before he retired in 2016.
