                          Gas explosion reportedly 'kills many’ in Kaduna

Many people have lost their lives in Kaduna - This was as a result of a gas explosion at Sabon Tasha in Kaduna metropolis - The explosion shattered the bodies of those who lost their lives in the incident A gas explosion has claimed the lives of many people at Sabon Tasha in Kaduna metropolis on Saturday, December 4. The incident occurred at shop located opposite Total filling station at Sabon Tasha. According to The Cable, the sound of the explosion caused fear among many residents who initially thought it was a bomb attack by Boko Haram. The news outlet reports that Philip Kambai, who escaped the blast said he was at a barbing saloon close to the gas shop for a hair cut alongside three other people when the incident happened.

“I just finished cutting my and was walking out then I heard boom! I fell down but I managed to get up. Then I saw fire. Immediately, I went behind and climbed a fence and in the process, I sustained injuries. One person also climbed the fence, but I doubt if the barber and two others came out,” Kambai said.

Going further, the report claimed that the explosion shattered the bodies of those who lost their lives in the incident as security operatives were seen parking body parts which littered the road. Meanwhile, ifeomacanice.blogspot.com  had reported that following a gas explosion in Lagos on Thursday, November 28, four people lost their lives while 23 were injured. The incident occurred at Aduke Street, Ifelodun local council development area of Lagos state. Among the dead people were two kids. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the director-general of Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), said only 23 were injured. Going further, he said those who suffered burns have been evacuated to the Burns Unit, Gbagada General Hospital.
