Kane Tanaka, the world's oldest person, on Sunday, January 5, celebrated 117th birthday at a nursing home in Japan - During the celebration, the centenarian took a bite from her birthday cake and commented on its tastiness - In 2018, she got the Guinness World Records confirmation as the world's oldest person when she clocked 116 Kane Tanaka, the world’s oldest woman, has surpassed her own record as she celebrated her 117th birthday at a nursing home in Fukuoka in southern Japan. According to Daily Mail, she marked her birthday with a party on Sunday, January 5, in the presence of staff and friends at the home. It should, however, be noted that Tanaka’s birthday was on Thursday, January 2. During the birthday celebration, the centenarian ate a slice from her cake.
